Absolutely love my new phone!

My new refurbished handset arrived yesterday and it's perfect! It looks brand new, honestly couldn't tell it was refurbished. The setup with my existing O2 SIM was so easy. I'm telling all my friends about O2's refurbished phones, really impressed with the quality!

Good data, easy to use

Got a big bundles payg SIM for my old phone. It was super easy to activate online, didn't even need to call anyone. Data worked right away, which was a relief. The signal's been solid everywhere I've gone so far. Definitely a smooth experience.

Easy SIM purchase

Needed a new SIM for my old phone. Got a standard PAYG one from O2. It arrived super fast, like 2 days. Popped it in, activated it online, no problems at all. It just worked. Happy with it.

Good Big Bundle experience

I ordered a Big Bundle PAYG SIM last month. The website was easy to navigate to find the right plan. Delivery was pretty quick, it arrived two days earlier than the tracking said. Setting up the SIM was straightforward, I just followed the instructions in the pack. I've been using it for a few weeks now and the signal has been consistently good in my area. The data rollover feature is a nice touch, although I haven't needed it yet. My only small issue was trying to find out exactly how much data I had left sometimes, the app isn't always super clear on that front. But overall, a solid experience for a pay-as-you-go plan.

Detailed breakdown of my SIM only purchase

I went with a monthly SIM only plan, specifically the 5G option. Ordering online was pretty intuitive; I found all the plan details clearly laid out. The SIM arrived three business days after ordering, well within their stated delivery window. Activation was hassle-free using their online portal, and I was able to port my old number without any drama. Signal strength has been excellent, especially 5G in my area. I had a quick question about data rollover and their customer service chat was responsive and helpful. Overall, a very positive experience from start to finish.

Good deal on a new SIM

I was looking for a cheap SIM for my tablet and found a good new customer offer for a tablet SIM. It came with extra data for the first few months, which was a nice bonus. The price per month felt fair for the amount of data I'm getting. It was definitely worth the purchase compared to other providers I looked at.

Decent sim only deal

I switched to a monthly SIM only plan with O2. The sign-up process online was pretty smooth, no real hiccups there. I kept my old number and that transferred over within a day, which was good. The 5G speeds have been impressive, definitely noticed a difference. Customer service was okay when I called about a billing query, took a little longer than I expected to get through to someone, but they sorted it out eventually. The price was competitive for the data I got, but I wish they had a bit more flexibility with international calling bolt-ons. Still, overall, I'm satisfied.

Reliable service again

I ordered another rolling plan SIM this time, just like last year. Delivery was quick, arrived in two days. Activation was smooth, no issues at all. It's nice knowing what to expect, and O2 consistently delivers good service. That's why I keep coming back.

Is O2 Priority actually any good for freebies or discounts, or is it mostly just junk?

B Ben 1 month ago
It's decent! I've gotten free coffees, discounted cinema tickets, and early access to concert tickets. Definitely worth having if you're an O2 customer.

It's hit or miss. Some weeks it's just meh, other times there are genuinely good deals. The free coffee/food offers pop up fairly regularly which is nice.

Is O2 any good for 5G? I'm in a pretty central area, wondering if the speeds are actually decent.

T Tom J. 2 months ago
My 5G on O2 is pretty solid where I am, never had issues with speed. Check their coverage map with your postcode, that's usually accurate.

It's alright, not always lightning fast but reliable enough. Better than Three in my experience for sure. EE still feels a bit faster overall though.

Does O2 do any student discounts for SIM only plans? Trying to save some cash while at uni.

S Shane F. 1 month ago
Yep, they definitely do! Check their site, usually a dedicated student page where you can verify with UNiDAYS or something similar.

I got a student discount last year, it was pretty decent. Usually a percentage off or extra data. Just search 'O2 student discount' on Google.

Thinking of switching to O2, but I'm in Manchester. Is their 5G actually decent there or is it still super spotty?

L Lisa 1 month ago
I'm in Manc too, south side. 5G is pretty solid for me, better than EE was actually. Gets a bit iffy indoors sometimes but generally good.

Yeah, I'm near the city center and it's been fine. Definitely worth checking their coverage map for your exact postcode though, can vary block by block.

Can I keep my old number if I switch to O2? Don't want the hassle of updating everyone.

R Rosa T. 1 month ago
Yeah, you just need to get a PAC code from your old provider. O2 has instructions on their site for how to port it over.

S Sam 1 month ago
Super easy. Just request your PAC from your current network, then give it to O2 when you activate or order. Done it a few times.
